Governor Daniels approves pay raise for state workers

INDIANA -- The holidays are going to be brighter for some Indiana state workers!

On Wednesday, Governor Daniels approved a 6-percent pay raise.

The pay increase will be based job performance.

Those who got an outstanding review, will get the most money! Workers who didn't meet expectation won't get a raise at all!

Daniels said Indiana employees are among the most productive in the country.

"The best...state work force,” said Daniels.

Last year, workers saw a one-percent increase. That, too, was based on performance.

State employees did not get a raise in 2009 or 2010.
