Five semitrucks overturned by wind on I-65 Wednesday afternoon
Widespread moderate snow is affecting Michiana and will persist through this evening. The region remains under a Winter Weather Advisory until 1 AM on Saturday. Primary concerns include reduced visibility and slushy road conditions, which are likely to impact the evening commute. Once the system snow moves out, lake enhanced snow will develop before daybreak on Saturday, potentially adding another 1-2 inches of accumulation in northern Michiana counties. Overnight lows will drop into the 20s. Saturday and most of Sunday are expected to remain dry but cold, with temperatures staying below freezing. Snow showers will return Sunday night, followed by lake-effect snow early next week.
Tonight: Snow showers. Low 22.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy. High 28.
Sunday: PM snow showers. High 30F.
Monday: Slight snow chance. Mostly cloudy. High 24.
