Goshen fall leaf and brush pickup delayed to Oct. 6

City of Goshen

GOSHEN, Ind. --  Goshen's fall leaf and brush pickup begins Oct. 6 after a one-week delay due to paving. Leaf collection runs from Oct. 6 to mid-December, weather permitting, with crews following rotating routes without a set schedule.

Residents should prepare piles carefully for safety and efficiency, following guidelines like raking leaves into long grass piles within 6 feet of the curb, avoiding streets and alleys, and keeping sidewalks clear. Piles should be positioned away from hydrants, mailboxes, and storm drains, and sprayed with water to reduce windblown debris. Separate leaves and brush, as the brush damages the equipment.

Do not include sticks, twigs, or trash, as these can damage machines and cause delays. Bagged leaves will be collected, but bags will be emptied and left behind. Never park on leaf piles or block them, and use off-street parking when possible.

Brush collection is from Oct. 6-10, collecting only brush placed at the curb, excluding trash, lumber, fencing, or timbers, to prevent delays.
