A warm and sunny week’s end, but a snowy weekend
A weakening warm front passes over Michiana in the first half of today, allowing temperatures to climb to the mid 30s this afternoon despite the widespread 1"-2" of snow expected across our area throughout the day. The AM commute will likely see minor slowdowns of 10-15 extra minutes, but warming weather in the afternoon should prevent any major concerns for the evening commute. Plan on moderate snowfall this morning and lighter snow showers in the afternoon and evening as some lake effect follows up west of our area. The cold front tonight drops us back to near 10 degrees, but Michiana rebounds to the low 20s on Saturday and the mid 20s on Sunday with slight snow chances in the forecast this weekend.
Today: Snow. High 35.
Tonight: Scattered snow showers. Low 10.
Saturday: Overcast. High 22.
Sunday: Overcast. High 26.
