Nappanee police K9 assists in arrest of attempted murder suspect
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- ABC57's Sidney Moore spoke with the owners of Munchie Madness, a local Michiana food truck company that owns two food trucks: one that travels more local, and another that makes trips farther away. The owners say they have had to fill their gas tanks daily to keep these two food trucks going. On top of filling the truck tanks, they also have to fuel the generator when there are no electrical outlets in sight.
The owners have worked to try and fight these costs but for the first time in five years of owning the business, they have had to raise their prices by a dollar, while still eating the costs of the spike in fuel.
They have worked to be more strategic with their stops, trying to land gigs close by each other, but even with that they are still constantly feeling the pain at the pump. Owner Janet Tufnell says recently their receipt has shown a spike from $60 to $130 every time they fill up.
