ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Superior Court Judge David Bonfiglio and others were able to tour a full-sized mock-up that illustrates the design of what the new Elkhart County Courthouse’s courtroom will look like when construction is complete.
Developers used a full-scale mock-up made out of plywood to make sure the courtroom will have everything the judge and other county employees will need.
"It brings it to life, but it’s going to come to life even more when we start seeing the bulldozers out on Reliance Road and starting to actually see construction happening this spring,” said Judge Bonfiglio.
Construction work for the new $94 million courthouse is expected to be finished sometime in the next two years.
