Much colder Tuesday, freezing rain possible Wednesday

NOW: Much colder Tuesday, freezing rain possible Wednesday

ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast

Monday, February 3, 2025

Even though the temperature soared into the 50s across Michiana Monday afternoon, a cold front will cause thermometer readings to tumble tonight. Clouds will increase overnight as temperatures fall through the 40s and 30s eventually settling into the mid 20s to start Tuesday. Tomorrow will be much colder with highs close to the freezing mark under cloudy skies. The day to watch this week is Wednesday as a powerful weather system barrels in from the southwest. A wintry mix of rain and freezing rain is possible, especially for the second half of the day. Highs will finish in the middle 30s, but as cold air arrives at night, freezing rain could make things slick Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. Slick roads are possible later Wednesday and early Thursday morning. Freezing rain is notoriously tough to forecast, so keep checking back in for updates. Thursday and Friday look quiet before another wintry mix is possible on Saturday.

Tonight: Turning colder with increasing clouds. Low 26.

Tuesday: Cloudy and much colder. High 32.

Wednesday: A chance of rain and freezing rain, especially late. High 35.

Thursday: Slick roads possible early. Otherwise, mostly cloudy. High 40.
