KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office reports it's investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened on S.R. 25 west of C.R. 600 West in southwestern Kosciusko County.

Deputies and emergency personnel responded Wednesday around 5:15 p.m. to a single motorcycle crash where they located a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle on scene.

The motorcyclist was identified as 35-year-old Charles D. Sanders of Claypool, Ind.

Preliminary investigation indicates Sanders was traveling east on S.R. 25 and, for an unknown reason, left the south side of the roadway and come to a stop at the bottom of an embankment.

Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries in the crash by the Kosciusko County Coroner.

The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County FACT Team.
