ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department is reminding residents about parking restrictions during street sweeping season, which usually begins in March, but will now begin Wednesday and last through October.

Parking will be restricted on designated sides of city streets for scheduled street sweeping.

Weather permitting, parking restrictions will be in place on designated streets on the first Wednesday and Thursday of each month between 7 a.m. and noon.

Residents are asked to follow posted street signs and move vehicles during scheduled sweeping times.

Vehicles not relocated may be subject to a citation.
