Elkhart High School welcomes new girls' soccer head coach
Elkhart Community Schools: Grace Beck ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Community Schools announced it's hired Grace Beck as the new head coach for the girls' soccer program at Elkhart High School.
Beck is a former collegiate athlete with a background in youth development and leadership.
School officials say Beck joins the district following a distinguished playing career at Bethel University, where she competed for six seasons. At Bethel, Beck was considered a key leader in a program that secured two NCCAA National Championships.
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Beck to our athletic department," said Jacquie Rost, Athletic Director at ECS. "Her experience as a national champion, combined with her commitment to organizational leadership and youth mentorship, makes her the ideal leader to foster a culture of excellence and character for our student-athletes."
Beck also served as a coach for Soccer Shots, directed camps and programs for TORCH FC, and completed a specialized coaching internship with the Junior Irish.
District officials added that Beck holds bachelor’s degrees in Exercise Science and Intercultural Studies from Bethel University. She's currently set to complete her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership in May.
"I am passionate about leadership and equipping and empowering young female athletes," said Beck. "I’m excited to partner with our players to build a competitive program that challenges us to grow, work hard, and pursue excellence together."
