The new public health order is effective April 6 through May 14.

When the county is in the blue advisory level, facial coverings become recommended.
For social gatherings and events, capacity limits are based on the county's advisory level:
- Attendance is limited to 25% capacity when Elkhart County is in the orange or red advisory level
- Attendance is limited to 50% capacity when Elkhart County is in the yellow advisory level
- Attendance can be set at 100% when the county is in the blue advisory level
