Elkhart ArtWalk and free Lerner on the Lawn concert Thursday

ELKHART, Ind. --- Downtown Elkhart will go country Thursday for July's Elkhart ArtWalk and free Lerner on the Lawn concert presented by Premier Arts.

The "Boot Scootin' Boogie" themed evening will go from 5 to 8 p.m.

At 6 p.m., Nashville Crush will perform on Central Green. No tickets are required. You're encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy an evening under the stars.

Organizers invite families to enjoy art, music, dancing, shopping, and fun while celebrating the community and arts.

"The best part of Artwalk is that throughout the summer we really do feature different types of artists, different genres, and so there’s something for everyone," said Craig Gibson of Premier Arts, Elkhart ArtWalk's organizer.

• Dancing Queen- An ABBA Tribute 6 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 26

• "Elkhart Rocks" 5 to 8 p.m.
• Memphis Underground 6 p.m.

Thursday, October 31

• "Trick or Treat on Main Street" 5 to 8 p.m.
• "LOUDERNOW" (Emo and Pop Punk Tribute Band) 6 p.m.

Local merchants will have shopping specials and surprises and guests are encouraged to scan the QR codes throughout downtown for event and merchant highlights.
