Dry conditions cause burn ban

ST. JOSEPH CO., Ind. -- Put down those matches! Right now, a burn ban is set to take effect in St. Joseph County, Indiana on Friday.

The County Board of Commissioners met on Thursday morning to talk about the extremely dry conditions we have been experiencing.

They have decided to put the ban in place starting at 6 a.m. on Friday.

It will remain in place until we get at least 1-inch of rain.

Marshall and LaGrange Counties also issued bans.

It doesn't look like there is any rain relief in sight.
