Armed Robbery suspect crashes into river after pursuit in Berrien...
WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A driver was hospitalized after a vehicle crashed and caught fire Wednesday just before noon.
The crash happened on Dewey Lake Street and Roth Road in Decatur.
Trisha Smith, 31, was westbound on Dewey Lake Street when her car struck a tree.
The car overturned and caught fire, according to Cass County Sheriff’s office.
Smith was flown to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo after she was taken to Borgess Lee Hospital by ambulance.
Officials reported Smith was wearing her seat belt. They are investigating if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
