Community says its farewell to Jaworski’s Market
DOWAGIAC, Mich.--- The city of Dowagiac is set to unveil its 20 year master plan at a meeting on Thursday. The meeting will take place at 6 at the Business Center of South West Michigan.
City leaders will begin the meeting by revealing the plan and giving out information on the city's housing initiative. Residents will be able to give their feed back on the plan, in addition to other areas they'd like to see addressed in the town.
One topic for discussion will be how the city should utilized space from abandoned buildings that will be torn down like the old LIncoln School. The city will also gauge the public's interests in converting existing buildings downtown into mixed use facilities.
The city will have one more open house on September 6th.
