SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- La Porte County Deputy Jon Samuelson was escorted by several departments from Memorial Hospital Thursday afternoon according to the South Bend Police Department.

Police say Samuelson is being moved to a facility outside of South Bend to continue his recovery.

A post from the mayor of Portage says Samuelson is going to a medical facility in Chicago for rehab.
