ORIGINAL STORY: LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The man accused of shooting a La Porte County sheriff's deputy in a Michigan City emergency room is entering a preliminary plea.
County officials confirm to ABC57 that Sharod Grafton, preliminarily, is pleading not guilty for the shooting of Deputy Jon Samuelson. Grafton is accused of shooting Samuelson three times in a hospital emergency room after Samuelson attempted to apprehend him over an alleged car robbing case in Illinois.
Grafton's bond was set at $100,000. His next court date is June 12.
