Customer accused of battery against Martin's employees
ELKHART, Ind. -- A customer at the Martin's on Sanford School Road was arrested after allegedly throwing soda cans at one employee and punching another, according to Elkhart Police.
Police responding to the store Tuesday afternoon witnessed 24-year-old Matthew Dunlap punch an employee in the face in the parking lot, reports said.
Officers attempted to take Dunlap into custody, but he resisted. After using a taser, they were able to arrest him.
The employee who was punched told police Dunlap was causing problems at the store and Dunlap punched him during the confrontation, police said.
A second employee came outside at this time and told police Dunlap threw cans of soda at him and they struck his head.
Dunlap was arrested on two preliminary counts of battery.
