BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Corewell Health announced they will host three community blood drives across Southwest Michigan this holiday season on Dec. 17, 18, and 19.

Dates and locations:

• Dec. 17 - noon to 4:30 p.m. at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospitals - St. Joseph Hospital
• Dec. 18 - 12:30 to 6 p.m. at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospitals - Niles Hospital 
• Dec. 19 - 2 to 6:30 p.m., at the River Church Sanctuary

Health officials say the donating process takes about an hour, including registration, a brief medical screening, and blood collection.

Eligible donors must be 17 or older, in good health, and not experiencing symptoms of cold or flu.

Donors who are 16 may donate with parent or guardian permission.

A photo ID is required to donate.
