UPDATE TWO: The South Bend Police Department reports that the victim was 33-year-old Alberto Soto-Rodriguez.

UPDATE: The South Bend Police Department is now investigating the shooting as a homicide. 

Once officers arrived on scene these found a victim with an apparent gunshot wound. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name is being withheld, until the family is notified. 

This an ongoing investigation. 

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend police are responding to a reported shooting.

The scene is reportedly at a home in the 1000 block of College Street. SBPD officials say the call came in around 5 p.m.
