Charges filed against man accused of causing motorist’s death in May

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - Charges have been filed against a man accused of driving while intoxicated when he struck a motorcyclist on Ironwood Road in May 2023, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.

Rahim Sadik, 24, was charged with causing death when operating a vehicle while intoxicated and causing death when operating a vehicle with an ACE of .08 or more.

On May 18, Sadik was involved in an early morning crash with GJJ Dunn Severinghaus just north of Cleveland Road. Severinghaus was killed as a result, according to police. 

An arrest warrant has been issued for Sadik.
