Cloudy, breezy Wednesday morning; improvements this afternoon
ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Wednesday, February 9, 2022
Snow showers move in tonight, after most of the evening commute has finished. It will be breezy overnight with lows tumbling into the 20s by the start of Thursday. Snow showers should wrap up by noon tomorrow. An inch of accumulation is possible, especially across southwestern Michigan.
Snow begins again Thursday night, and it will be windy, with gusts of 30+ mph possible into early Friday. The Friday morning commute looks messy, with wind driven snow changing over to a rain/snow mix after 9 AM. Rain showers will last into the afternoon as temperatures stay near 40 for most of Friday. Then, lake-effect snow starts Friday night and lasts into Saturday morning. An inch or two of accumulation is possible for the snow belt with this round of fluffy snow.
It looks much quieter and colder this weekend, with highs in the 20s for both Saturday and for the big game Sunday. Valentine's Day will also be quiet, with highs in the middle 20s. Wednesday and Thursday of next week look like the next time period to watch for more rain and possibly accumulating snow.
Tonight: Snow showers and breezy. Low 27.
Tomorrow: Cloudy with snow showers in the morning. High 30.
Friday: Windy with snow in the morning, then changing to a rain/snow mix into the afternoon. Lake-effect snow possible at night. High 38.
Saturday: Snow showers in the morning, then mostly cloudy and colder. High 24.
