'Brown Bag Lunch and Lecture' at Marshall County Historical Society and Museum

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Historical Society and Museum will host "Brown Bag Lunch and Lecture: What Does the Norman Conquest Have to Do with You?" on Friday, August 9, from noon to 1 p.m.

Museum officials invite the community to bring a lunch and snack while the presenter, Monty Peden, discusses how a Duke from Normandy, France, crossed the Channel, won the Battle of Hastings, and became King of England.

Officials say you'll learn how these events from over 900 years ago still affect us today.

The museum is located at 123 N. Michigan St. in Plymouth.
