ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- An alleged victim of grooming and their family are requesting a jury in their civil lawsuit against Triton School Corporation, a former teacher convicted of Child Seduction, and his wife.

Zachary Whittaker pleaded guilty to the charge in 2025; he received a two-year sentence, with six months spent in jail.

A lawsuit from the victim and their family states that Whittaker was employed as a PE and criminal justice teacher at Triton Junior-Senior High School. Whittaker's ex-wife, Amanda Fox, was an Assistant Principal at Concord High School.

The victim alleges that Whittaker groomed and initiated an inappropriate sexual relationship with them over the course of multiple years. The lawsuit alleges that both Triton School Corporation and Fox had reason to believe the abuse was happening but did not take appropriate action.

A hearing is scheduled for September 29.
