Blue-Gold Game Forecast

ABC 57

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- After several cool and rainy days, there is finally light at the end of the tunnel! Fair conditions are expected tomorrow with plenty of sunshine!

Guests heading to the scrimmage can start arriving in the parking lots after 11 a.m. To kick off the tailgating fun! The day will start off a bit chilly with temperatures in the 40s, but don’t worry — things will warm up just in time for kickoff. And don’t forget your sunglasses — the sun will be shining bright all day long! As you make your way home after the game, temperatures will top out in the upper 50s, with calm winds keeping things comfortable.

We've already experienced a wide range of temperatures and conditions this spring, but this weekend is shaping up to be the best we've had since the start of meteorological spring, March 1st. And how fitting that fair weather arrives just in time for the blue-gold game!

Spring got off to a cool start, with many days featuring below-average highs. While cooler weather dominated for a time, we did have a few unseasonably warm days, with highs reaching into the upper 60s and 70s. However, those warmer days also brought measurable rain, which didn’t make for the most ideal outdoor plans.

But tomorrow brings a welcome change, making it the nicest weekend we've seen so far this season. Maybe it’s the luck of the Irish that we’ll get more weekends like this one! All in all, it’s shaping up to be the perfect spring day to cheer on your Irish in style!
