All eyes on Tommy Rees Saturday night against Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. --- All eyes were on Irish Quarterback Tommy Rees this week to see how he would perform against Michigan.

After the loss Notre Dame suffered two years ago at the Big House, many football fans wondered if this year would be a repeat.

Although Saturday's game wasn't quite a repeat of 2011, the outcome was the same.

Reese says as a team leader, he takes full accountability for his mistakes Saturday night.

But Michigan's head coach Brady Hoke says everyone should give the Irish quarterback some credit.

"You've got to give Tommy Rees some credit. I think the kid's a good quarterback, and I think he's proven that against us now three years in a row. He's accurate, they have some big play receivers," said Hoke.

"I need to be better day in and day out and just know completely to be a leader of the offense and be a guy that everyone turns to and I just have to continue to get better and I put that accountability on myself," said Rees.

Michigan continues their undefeated streak at home and improves their record to 2-0 this season.
