HAMMOND, Ind. -- One of the most iconic holiday movies of all time has been immortalized in Hammond, Indiana.
The character Flick from the movie A Christmas Story was the kid who gets his tongue frozen to a flag pole. That scene has been made into a statue to commemorate the movie.
The actor who played Flick was even there for the event.
"I'm pretty much speechless at this point. I mean, that's pretty awesome. That's amazing. It's breathtaking," said Actor Scott Schwartz.
The movie came out 30 years ago and now the statue is on permanent display at the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond.
