60-year-old motorcyclist sustains broken ribs, leg, and arm at roundabout

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the roundabout at S.R. 19 and S.R. 119 regarding a single motorcycle crash on Sunday around 5:56 p.m.

Authorities report a 2011 Victory Kingpin, ridden by 60-year-old Randall Weaver of Nappanee, was traveling south on S.R. 19 at a high rate of speed at S.R. 119.

The report states Weaver then lost control of the motorcycle, crashing into a guard rail.

Weaver was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

Weaver sustained broken ribs, broken left arm, broken left leg, and head trauma including abrasions and lacerations.

The crash is under investigation by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
