ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Environmental Center hosted its fifth annual Waggin’ in the Woods event this weekend, drawing dog lovers and their furry companions for a day of fun and fundraising.
Attendees browsed vendor booths featuring pet-friendly products, while local food vendors served treats for both people and pups. The event raised money for Tracking in the Shadows Dog Rescue and promoted awareness of the Elkhart Environmental Center’s programs.
Elkhart Mayor Rob Roberson, accompanied by his dog Simba, led a lively pet parade. Community members joined in, many showing off their dogs’ costumes during the march through the woods.
