32-year-old Claypool man faces several drug related felonies

CLAYPOOL, Ind. -- The Kosciusko County Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET43) reports several concerned citizens provided them with drug tips, leading to an investigation into illegal drug activity in the Beaver Dam area, which resulted in one arrest.

Authorities say on Wednesday, NET43 officers along with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group (SOG) executed a search warrant at a residence in the 9500 block of S 750 W for items associated with dealing illegal drugs.

The resident at the address, identified at 32-year-old Tyler Jame Hanish, was also served an arrest warrant for Dealing in a fentanyl containing substance, a Level 2 Felony.

The report states NET43 undercover operations purchased fentanyl from Hanish on three separate occasions over several months.

The report goes on to state the undercover operation netted approximately 15.71 grams of fentanyl, one pound of marijuana, mushrooms, an AR 15 rifle, two handguns, pills, and drug paraphernalia.

For his arrest warrant, Hanish is charged with one count of Deling in a fentanyl containing substance, a Level 2 Felony, and three counts of Possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 Felony.

His bond was set at $52,500 cash.

Hanish is additionally charged with Dealing in a fentanyl containing substance, enhancing circumstances, a Level 2 Felony, Possession of a narcotic drug, enhancing circumstances, a Level 5 Felony, Maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 Felony, and Possession paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor, resulting from the search warrant.
