Rounds of dense fog and light rain today
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.-- Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reported a 3-vehicle crash on Sept. 13 at approximately 7:06 p.m. on US 20 and CR 35.
Charles Schrock of Elkhart County was going eastbound on US 20 and hit Betty Bellaire, who was also going eastbound on US 20 on the back end of the vehicle and caused rear-end damage to her car and front-end damage to Charles car.
The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to get onto the westbound lane of US 20.
Alysse Nichelle of Middlebury was heading westbound on US 20 and collided with Betty, which caused front driver side damage to her vehicle and front-end damage to Betty's car.
Alysse then ran into the side rail north of US 20.
Betty suffered 2 broken ankles and chest pain.
The other two drivers had no reported injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing.
