The YMCA is teaming up with Michiana organizations to subsidize and provide expanded childcare services for their employees and front-line workers.
Involved in this partnership are local law enforcement agencies, health care providers, and other companies/organizations interested in subsidizing childcare for their employees.
The YMCA is currently the only daycare service that is open in St. Joseph, Michigan.
“We have been blessed beyond measure,” Dr. Zechariah Hoyt said, the Executive Director of Youth Programs for the YMCA in Berrien County. “We have served quite a few kids, we’ve served families. And we have a very rigorous, proactive protocol to keep kids safe. And we’ve gone five weeks with no sickness with our children or our staff.”
If your employer does not offer this service, the YMCA says that through scholarships they can fund your childcare.
