ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Police Department confirmed they received a 911 call at approximately 8:57 p.m. on Saturday of a fight in the 100 block of N. 6th Street. 

As officers and first responders dispatched to the call, the 911 Communications Center received additional information that there was a shooting victim in connection to the fight. 

Upon arrival, officers learned there was not a shooting, but a male had been stabbed. 

Medics transported the victim to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment in non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officers detained individuals in connection to the investigation. 

The investigation is ongoing.
