Woman who lost legs in tornado gets help rebuilding home
HENRYVILLE, Ind.-- A mom who lost her legs in the Henryville Tornadoes is getting help from the baseball team that her husband coaches.
Stephanie Decker was protecting her kids from the tornado and in the end lost her legs.
Her husband, Joe, coaches The Silver Creek Baseball Team, and the players decided to step in and help.
The players said that they wanted to make it easier for when she returns from physical therapy.
One of the players, Tim Dierking, said, "I just hope that coach Decker knows that we love him. He always says that family comes first, so that's definitely what we're doing."
The team said that it is the least that they can do for the family of the man who has been there for them both on and off the field.
