Woman injured after vehicle shot at on Barron Lake Road
CASS COUNTY, Mich.—A woman was injured by a bullet during a shooting incident involving two vehicles on Barron Lake Road on December 19, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, a 9-1-1 caller reported that they were in a vehicle and being shot at by someone in another vehicle.
Police learned that the two vehicles were traveling northbound on Barron Lake Road near Pokagon Highway.
During a traffic stop in the area involving a white Chevy pickup truck with a flat tire, deputies learned that it was one of the vehicles involved in the incident.
Deputies then located a dark-colored four-door vehicle along the side of the road on Pokagon Highway near Hampshire Street occupied by four people.
Damage done to the dark-colored vehicle was also related to the shooting incident, police said.
A woman in the dark-colored vehicle was injured by a bullet during the incident and was taken to the hospital. She has since been treated and released, according to police.
