34th Elkhart Jazz Festival kicking off this weekend
Thursday started out with some icy roads and snow showers. High temperatures barely made it above freezing.
If this song and dance is getting old, some good news is just around the corner.
After a chilly day of snow and rain Friday, temperatures will start to rise into next week. Highs will likely reach the 60s multiple times with the streak beginning on Monday.
South Bend is slightly behind schedule in terms of our first 60-degree day. Typically, our first 60 arrives around February 28. This year will likely see our latest first 60-degree day since 2019.
Temperatures are likely to remain above normal through the remainder of March as well. Average highs ascend through the 40s throughout the rest of this month, while lows approach the freezing point by April 1.
