A big-time change in the weather pattern occurs tonight as a strong cold front passes through. Another round of soaking rainfall will accompany the front, in addition to crashing temperatures. It will also be windy tonight thru Tuesday.
Rain ends Monday morning and a few flurries are possible throughout the day with highs hovering in the mid-30s. A round of accumulating snow is then likely Monday night into Tuesday as another disturbance rotates through the Great Lakes. Those north of U.S. 6 will likely see 1-3" of snow with the most in Southwest Michigan.
The rest of New Year's Eve and New Year's Day is looking quiet and cold in the 30s. Another system will affect the area by next Friday and Saturday with rain likely Friday, followed by snow on Saturday.
Tonight: Steady rainfall and windy. Low of 34.
Monday: A chance of a few snow showers and windy. High of 36.
New Year's Eve: Light snow thru midday; breezy. High of 31.
New Year's Day: Plenty of sunshine. High of 37.
