Water main flushing begins Sept. 19 in Knox

KNOX, Ind. -- The City of Knox announced on Wednesday that crews with the water department will begin flushing new water mains starting Thursday. 

The flushing will begin at the water mains on Henry Drive and Short Drive and should be concluded by the end of the day Friday.

"As a result of the line flushing, tap water may appear brown," said Knox Mayor Dennis Estok. "The water is safe to drink and can be cleared up by running cold water from a bathtub or outside faucet."
