Vehicle crashes into house in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle crash into a residence near the intersection of Redfield and Ironwood in Milton Township.

It happened just after 3 a.m. on Friday.

Police say the driver of the vehicle fled the scene prior to the officers' arrival.

A 23-year-old Niles man was later located and identified as the driver of the vehicle.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Cass County Jail. His name is being withheld pending arraignment.

Alcohol does appear to be a factor in this crash. This case is currently under investigation.
