Two drivers injured, two drivers cited following three-vehicle crash
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash on Old U.S. 33 east of C.R. 3 around 7:33 a.m., Friday.
The report states a 2015 Hyundai Accent, driven by 23-year-old Tiffany Pflug of Niles, was traveling west on Old U.S. 33, when deputies say due to ice, it swerved into the eastbound lane.
Authorities say Pflug then collided with a 2018 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 49-year-old Jessica Freeman, traveling east.
A 2003 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by 21-year-old Kodi Scott of Elkhart, was also traveling east behind Freeman. Scott then struck Pflug's Hyundai.
Pflug suffered shoulder pain, a laceration to the back of her head, and was cited for failure to provide proof insurance.
Freeman suffered a laceration to her face.
Scott was uninjured and cited for failure to provide proof of insurance.
A 30-year-old Niles man, who was a passenger, also suffered unspecified injuries.
