SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The city of South Bend kicks off its fourth annual Fusion Fest weekend starting Sept. 26 from 12-8 p.m. and Sept. 27 from 12-6 p.m.
Fusion Fest will be filled with over 100 food vendors, artisans, performers, and demonstrations on five different regional stages, and several different free, hands-on activities and experiences.
The festival will take place at Howard Park. Patrons are encouraged to bring camp chairs to enjoy the concerts. Coolers, large bags, and backpacks are not permitted. Small clear bags or totes are recommended, including Fusion Fest bags from previous years.
The South Bend Police Department will have an increased presence during the two-day festival to ensure safety, as well as strategic locations. Per requests from the event sponsors, no weapons of any kind will be allowed onto the festival grounds and security workers will utilize magnetometers at entrances. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian starting at 6 p.m. Sept. 26 and 4 p.m. Sept. 27. Guests will not be permitted to stay in the park after the completion of the festival each night.
Free event parking is available at the Wayne Street Garage, St. Joseph High School Lot, and School Field. Parking is also available on the streets within walking distance of Howard Park.
