The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office also released a correction on Thursday regarding them initially reporting the crash occurred at 3:46 p.m. on Nov. 13, when they meant to say the crash site was discovered at that date and time.
ORIGINAL STORY: The bodies of two men were recovered from the St. Joe River Nov. 13, inside a 2018 black Ram pickup truck.
The Sheriff's Office stated 30-year-old Theo Bean and 39-year-old Tireno Washington were last seen Sunday morning.
The Department posted their missing person's alert to Facebook just hours before their bodies were discovered.
Elkhart Sheriff's Department stated that the vehicle somehow crossed lanes for unknown reasons, went through a patch of trees, down an embankment, and landed in the St. Joe River.
When the truck was removed from the river, the front end was a mangled mess, with airbags hanging out of the window, and a completely shattered windshield.
