Tulsa dentist could face criminal charges

TULSA, Okla. — Dr. Scott Harrington could face criminal charges for allowing uncertified assistants to perform dental procedures at his clinic.

He's accused of not properly sanitizing his equipment, which officials say led to one patient testing positive for hepatitis C.

The dentist would not comment on the situation, but investigators say he is cooperating.

Over Easter weekend, hundreds of the dentist's patients lined up to get screened and tested.

Patients lined up outside the Tulsa Health Clinic to be tested for hepatitis and HIV.

Nearly 7,000 patients are at risk and waiting to hear the news.
