SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation announced they're hosting a hiring event on Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Transpo is currently hiring drivers, mechanics, bus cleaners, and fuelers.

The event will take place at the Transpo Administrative Office located at 1401 S. Lafayette Blvd.

Transpo officials say they offer competitive pay ranges from $20.65 to $29.30 an hour, depending on position and experience.

Officials list benefits including regular pay increases, paid vacation time, paid holidays, affordable, low deductible health insurance, and a competitive pension plan.

Transpo officials say the positions require a Class B Commercial Driver's License and paid training is offered for qualified candidates.
