Traffic restriction on two major South Bend roads starts Nov. 18

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend Department of Public Works confirmed that two different areas of the city will have disruptions starting on Monday morning, one on Sample Street, and the other on Angela Boulevard.

Sample Street:

Beginning Monday, Nov. 18, Sample Street between Fairway and Gladstone Streets will be closed for water main connection work. Detour routes will be Mayflower Road and Olive Street via Western Avenue. The street is expected to reopen at the end of the day, Friday, Nov. 22, weather permitting.

Angela Boulevard:

Also starting Monday, Angela Boulevard from Portage to Woodward Avenues will be restricted for NIPSCO to install a gas main. Temporary lane restrictions will be in place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, Dec. 13, weather permitting.
