BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- This week ABC57 News Anchor Brian Conybeare and Investigative Reporter Clifton French take a closer look at the misinformation, rumors and distrust surrounding the deaths of at least six African-American residents of Benton Harbor.

They talk to young black men, community activists and law enforcement leaders about why there’s such a lack of trust and fear in the city.

Some of them even say they are afraid to go across the bridge into neighboring St. Joseph where some of the people who wound up dead in the river were last seen.
