SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Music Village will be holding their second Girls Rock Michiana camp in July.

The day camp is for girls in grades four through eight and encourages those girls to come rock out at the camp with their peers.

The camp will take place on Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It will be held at The Music Village at 333 S. Michigan Street in South Bend.

Girls will get together in small groups with music instructors to learn how to play rock instruments and they will also learn other performance skills.

The camp will include guest speakers, workshops and in depth discussions about music.

Friends and families of campers are then invited to a performance on July 26.

Registration is now open at www.girlsrockmichiana.org.

The camp costs $100 per attendee.

Financial assistance is available upon request and no participant will be turned away due to financial hardship.
