A warm and sunny week’s end, but a snowy weekend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A large police and SWAT presence was gathered in the 300 block of Donald Street in South Bend.
Law enforcement was there to serve a search warrant.
The situation began around 9 p.m. on Thursday as police yelled for a person to come out with their hands up.
After searching around the home, SWAT deployed several canisters of tear gas into the home around 10 p.m.
A while later law enforcement entered the front door of the house. They exited without anyone in custody.
Not many details are being released at this time, but the South Bend Police Department says there is no threat to the public.
A shooting happened on the same street late at night on Christmas Day, however it's unclear if there is any relation at this point.
