Suspect charged in Dec. 10 stabbing on Hubbard Avenue

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office announced formal charges have been filed against 50-year-old Felicia Lane, of Elkhart, in connection with a Dec. 10 stabbing.

Lane is accused of stabbing a 39-year-old woman in the 1200 block of W. Hubbard Avenue.

On Monday, Lane was charged with Attempted Aggravated Battery, a Level 3 Felony.

Police say a 911 call came in around 12:25 p.m. on Dec. 10, for a stabbing.

Officers arrived to find both Lane and the victim injured.

The women were treated by medics on scene before being taken to the hospital.

Police say the victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries from the incident.

The victim told authorities Lane had stabbed her in the chest.

Lane was treated at the hospital before being taken to the Elkhart County Jail.

Elkhart County judicial officer has ordered Lane to be held in jail without bond until her court hearing on Dec. 18.
