ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department reports that two women are injured after a stabbing incident Wednesday afternoon.

First responders were called to the 1200 block of W. Hubbard Avenue around 12:25 p.m. Two women were found with injuries related to the stabbing incident. Both were treated and then transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

One woman has serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The second woman, whose identity has not been shared, is now in police custody.

The Elkhart Police Department says this was an isolated incident.
